This is actually two pieces - a mount made by ?? and a generic cell phone attachment thingy by ??. The mount is EXCELLENT QUALITY. It fits like a glove. It requires you to remove the bezel that surrounds the radio, and drill three little holes - don't worry, there are behind the bezel and you won't see them. The mount attaches with three screws and is very secure, and it provides a base to mount whatever you want in an angle perfect to view from the driver side. This mount is HIGHLY recommended.
The cell phone attachment, on the other hand, was a bit of a disappointed. Although it was advertised in the web site as a mount for the StarTac, it is actually a generic mount for anything - provided you are willing to stick a little knob with a piece of 3M adhesive tape to whatever it is you want to mount. It comes with a belt clip so you can attach the device to your belt when its not in the mount in the car.
StarTac owners will probably be reluctant to do this, as our belt holsters are very reliable, comfortable and easy to use. Giving that up to tape a little knob to the back of our sleek phones is not a very good option. However, fear not, I figured out a way.
If you get yourself an extra Motorola plastic belt holster, you can easily detach the belt clip and attach the little knob that comes with this phone mount. You can them mount the HOLSTER to the car, and you can put the phone in the holster -- VOILA! A StarTac phone mount!
The instructions are clear, but there are no pictures and diagrams, so you have to guess where the clips are. Also make sure you have a "hook tool" (don't ask me, that's what the instructions say) to remove the bezel clips. I used a tool with a hook in it, but obviously that was NOT the hook tool they mentioned (or I had no clue how to use it right). If you are not careful (and patient) you can scratch your bezel (like I did) or perhaps break it (as I felt like doing but I didn't).
