In search of the perfect shift knob I came across this thing of beauty:
It has the best of both worlds -- the mahogany wood I need to match my Special Edition's interior, and the leather I LOVE to handle.
Don't get me wrong, wood is nice, but it gets HOT! And I prefer to handle a leather knob and steering wheel, but wood looks nice. This seems like a nice compromise.

I was a bit disappointed at the fact that this $90 knob was not weighted, and that it had the EXACT same mechanism to attach itself than the $20 knob. At first I missed my cheap knob, but I guess its because I got used to it. As I drove a bit I started to like the feel of leather in my hand.
The mahogany wood is a hint off the color of the wood accents of the 2000 Special Edition. The lighting in the middle picture above kinda contradicts that, but the bottom picture gives you a better idea. All in all, it looks good, but not being weighted, the price, and not being a closer match for the SE wood prevent me from keeping it. Back to the 'ol Nardi!!!
